Lazzaretto Vecchio Island, VR Theater. Beginning date of the VENICE VIRTUAL REALITY, which will continue untile the 5^th September. The International Jury of Venice Virtual Reality will award, with no ex aequo awards permitted, the following prizes to the 22 projects in competition: Best VR, Best VR Experience (for interactive content), Best VR Story (for linear content).

The awards are decreed by a public made of the theatricals'  spectators thanks to an initiative with ANEC, in collaboration with Best Movie. This year the SNCCI Award has been awarded to Marco Bellocchio.

The second workshop organized by the European Commission is entitled “Shaping together the MEDIA Programme of the future” and will be held by the newly-elected European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel.
