Over the course of 11 days, Imagine Film Festival offers the capital more than 50 feature films and 35 short films with the fantastical at heart. Next to the film programme, the festival will zoom in on subjects like diversity both in front and behind the camera, and a broad variety of narrative forms, among which virtual reality. The festival will also celebrate the 200-year existence of Mary Shelley’s novel ‘Frankenstein’. Next to its film programme, Imagine offers an extensive programme of workshops, introductions to screenings, Q&A’s, masterclasses and an interactive exposition inspired by Joseph Campbell’s ‘The Hero’s Journey’. Also, festival visitors will be welcomed at the Imagine Film Festival café on the vide in EYE for a daily talk show. Now in its second year, Imagine initiates the European Genre Forum (EGF) for genre filmmakers - an international training program full of training sessions, mentor meetings and workshops. The festival also presents the annual ‘Imagine NL’, an industry programme and platform for Dutch genre filmmakers. The complete program will be announced in February 2018 and tickets will go on sale on Tuesday the 20th of March. The festival image of Imagine 2018 has been developed by the Dutch graphic designer Nick Liefhebber in collaboration with Polish illustrator and conceptual artist Dawid Planeta. |
