Inaugural Austin International Short Film Festival to showcase shorts featuring ‘Last Call’ starring Jason Patric (The Lost Boys, In the Valley of Elah) and Don Harvey (Die Hard 2, The Untouchables, Casualties of War), ‘Grape’ starring Linden Ashley (Teen Wolf, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil: Extinction), and ‘Jerome’s Bouquet’ starring Peter Scolari (Girls, Newhart, Bosom Buddies, The Polar Express), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (25th Hour, 1408, Enchanted) Suzanne Shepherd (Requiem for a Dream, Goodfellas). The festival will highlight 35 short films from 6 countries; United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Mozambique, Chile, and the United States. --
The Austin Short Film Fest will run September 10 & 11 at The Moviehouse & Eatery complex in Austin. The festival provides a showcase for the best short-form cinema and its creators. The festival will recognize the best Texas short films and filmmakers in addition to short films and filmmakers from around the world.
Short-form cinema deserves similar recognition given to the feature film, and Austin Short Film Fest is excited to bring a premier film festival honoring these filmmakers to the big state of Texas. The heart of the festival will be the quality and scope of extraordinary film programming.
