Minneapolis, MN Monday Sept. 8, 2014 - The 7th Annual Minneapolis Underground Film Festival (MUFF) is just around the corner and festival programmers have been impressed with the high quality of work being produced, not only in Minnesota but by filmmakers from around the world as well as some with MN connections. Some examples to watch for in this year's lineup include:

OCT. 1 - 5pm“The Tiki War” with Q&A. “Mad Man meets “Breaking Bad” set in a tiki bar (Red Dragon) in 1961 Chicago.  Directed by local filmmaker John Ervin is having it's world premier at this year's MUFF. The synopsis reads like a spy novel "It is the night before President Kennedy's inauguration. Three rival club owners and two luckless entertainers battle over territory, honor, heroin and Cuba's most potent rum."

OCT. 2 - 5:30pm“MN Connection” with Q&A. A showcase of short films made by Minnesota filmmakers who have moved out of state but are still hometown and proud. Screening is followed with a Q&A with the filmmakers.
 
OCT 2 - 9pm“Sex Science and the Ladies” with Q&A. A must see documentary finishes off Thursday night by aiming to tell society things about the female orgasm that society needs to hear...
 
Notable highlights include, NaS: Time is Illmatic by One9, Doomsdays by Eddie Mullins, Ayiti Toma - The Land of the Living by Joseph Hillel, The Hip-Hop Fellows by Kenneth Price, Super Freak: Short Films starring Beck DeRobertis, A Method by Paul Von Stoetzel and MN Made short films.
