Celebrating its 30th annual festival in 2015, the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) presents American indies and studio films, international films, special tributes and seminars and introduces industry leaders to South Florida audiences. The fall festival runs October-November, and annually screens foreign and independent films in Fort Lauderdale, Weston, Pompano Beach, Sunrise, Hollywood, St Augustine, Amelia Island, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Daytona Beach and The Bahamas. **High School entries should not exceed 10 minutes. However, some exceptions will be made at the discretion of the Festival Administration.
Your Entry
DO: Send a DVD in a padded envelope
DON'T: Go crazy sealing or taping your package
DON'T: Send in a padded envelope that has stuffing (we hate those things and they gunk up our playback units)
As a student: You must submit the name of your educational Institution to be listed in the catalog. (And don't make us go hunting for that info...) Use a Sharpie and write it directly on your DVD
DON'T: Put a paper sticker on your DVD
DON'T: Send your package with Signature Required. We cannot guarantee its timeliness
RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
1) Films must be Florida Premieres, unless they are Florida produced Films. Then they need only be 'South Florida' Premieres.
2) Once submitted, a film cannot be withdrawn from consideration.
3) If a film is selected for acceptance into the Official program, it cannot be withdrawn for any reason by the filmmaker.
4) If a film is submitted with incorrect, erroneous or false information, FLIFF reserves the right to disqualify the film from consideration and the entry fee will not be returned.
5) Entries will not be returned.
6) FLIFF will post the accepted entries on its Facebook page. This may constitute the only form of acknowledgment for those not accepted.
7) Entries must be received, not postmarked, by the dates outlined above to qualify for fees and/or acceptance of entry.
