Since last year’s festival, we have seen globally historical moments in environmental decision making. The current climate is rich with opportunities for each of us to learn, take responsibility for the past and harness this wisdom to change the course of our future.
But the challenges that threaten the future of our planet remain vast and grow more complex. This means that now, more than ever, is the time for us to keep the state of our planet at the forefront of our focus, enquiry and activism.
It is fitting that amidst this backdrop we are able to bring you our biggest festival yet! In 2016, the Environmental Film Festival Australia will take the conversation to Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide, with dates in Tasmania on the horizon for 2017.
We have foraged through the best and brightest of world cinema to bring you a selection of stories that will inspire you, take you into the unknown, challenge your thinking, empower you and, importantly, let you celebrate this wondrous blue dot.
Bugs on the Menu asks us to reconsider the dietary choices that many of us take for granted every day by presenting a prescient and informative study of the health and environmental benefits of eating insects.
EFFA Sustainable Feast
Join us at this harvest style tasting event! EFFA partners with chef Ben Mac, founder of The Social Food Project and previously from Supernormal and Top Paddock. Hosted at Grub Food Van in Fitzroy, diners will be taken on a sustainable gastronomic adventure, where bugs will literally be on the menu!
