Netflix's first press showing of Okja, was interupted due to a technical difficulty; the film was misframed on the big screen and the international press started to boo before the film was stopped. They were able to set up the film properly and continue with the showing and Cannes has apologized for the technical malfunction, but by then the audience had formed a hostile environment.
Netflix's presence at this year's festival has sparked an interesting debate with strong feelings on both sides, so now we wait to see what the reception will be for the second Netflix film in the festival, 'The Meyerowitz Stories', which will be aired later in the Festival.
