CROSSING THE SCREEN is a new international film festival taking place in the evocative Town of Eastbourne, East Sussex, meant to showcase innovative and independent forms of visual art from all over the world.
A successful 1st year, in 2016, presented 81 International short films (34 UK premieres, 6 International premieres and 5 World premieres), including previous selections from Cannes IFF, Berlin IFF and Sundance IFF.
The Festival also displayed a Virtual Reality Filmmaking workshop, accredited by Creative Skillset, under the umbrella of the BFI.
CROSSING THE SCREEN 2017 (November 2017) will introduce for the first time a section for feature narrative films, running beside a strong short film programme.
Submissions for the 2017 edition are now open and will end on the 15th of September 2017.
