Akon performed at Gotha in Cannes on Saturday night. The first weekend of Le Festival de Cannes was also the opening weekend for Gotha Club. The club attendees were very well dressed as excitement brewed for the 3 am appearance of Akon. The rapper has been frequently performing in Cannes since 2011 and while he does not have any recent music out he still pleased the audience with his classic club hits. Akon's appeal does not seem to have spread very widely as while the crowd was excited, they were not very hyper.
As the Film Festival has brought several celebrities into Cannes, Gotha was the place to be seen last night. The night was also covered by several press members taking pictures and Akon was clearly pleased with the turnout.
